[Comments truncated for length. Basically a lot of gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes about the ruination of a beloved work but check out this great drawing]
This project saddens me greatly.

Comic books confuse things what are written profane for things what are written good, news at 11
The real reason why I’m reblogging is i can’t figure out what the hell kind of fabric R’s trench coat is supposed to be made of and it’s been bugging me every time I’ve seen this set. It’s so damn lightweight looking and wrinkly—not in a creased and unkempt way, which’d make sense, but in a damn dis fabric is crumply way. Is it seersucker? Is the artist referencing the wet-drape look of Hellenistic statuary to bring some class to this mother? Is this actually a subtle if anachronistic and thematically contradictory art historical allusion? Or are comic book artists too drunk on detailing to stop to think about why a coat that’s supposed to be thick, long-wearing and weatherproof would have that many folds?
the world may never know because it’s too busy shitting
