RE: Prohibitive Primitiveness of Photoshop, it’s not really that bad! It’s basically simple as can be, like an automated flipbook. Draw frame on one layer, next frame on next layer. No key frame animation or fancy transformations, though there are some simple translation features. I guess the downside is lacks a true timeline so you gotta do the math and figure for the timing on your own. Though I see the more recent versions implemented one, so that’s great. I imagine that the simplicity of the interface would make it hard to adjust to industry standard timing methods, but whatever. I’ll never be good or know enough to actually go into animation so that won’t be a problem! ~~optimism~~~
