Game Producer Stalker person here. Tried forever to figure out how to reply to that last question but came away with nothing but fail. Doing animations in CS2 sounds horrifically barbaric and I'm sorry you've had to to endure such hardship.*Glosses over how it makes you a better artist* Have you tried Synfig Studio? It's a free open source animation suite, I think you can do great things with it.

Oh, don’t be worried about sounding silly or “fail” or whatever. I sound silly all the damned time and I get by.
RE: Prohibitive Primitiveness of Photoshop, it’s not really that bad! It’s basically simple as can be, like an automated flipbook. Draw frame on one layer, next frame on next layer. No key frame animation or fancy transformations, though there are some simple translation features. I guess the downside is lacks a true timeline so you gotta do the math and figure for the timing on your own. Though I see the more recent versions implemented one, so that’s great. I imagine that the simplicity of the interface would make it hard to adjust to industry standard timing methods, but whatever. I’ll never be good or know enough to actually go into animation so that won’t be a problem! ~~optimism~~~
Anyway, thanks for the recommendation! I’ll have to look into it.
