It would be called ‘The Hard Sciences’ and it would just be people like doing super dry research and repetitive procedures with robot-like efficiency while spewing absurd innuendo and there wouldn’t be any actual porn at all.
Or I could make one called The Gay Science and it would be two ladies discussing Nietzsche in their underthings.
Well this is feeding into my theory that Casey doesn’t want to deal with the Joker fans.
Not to be a killjoy, but haven’t they already finished with the script and recording the dialog? If they haven’t, it has to be damn close. Keep in mind, this is the company that doesn’t create female models of entire species because it’s a ‘waste of resources’, so going back and doing all that work for a non-essential element would be unprecedented. Especially one that is perceived as appealing most to heterosexual female and male homosexual players. Who, at least in this industry, are two demographics that are never prioritized in any product that doesn’t come packaged in pink.
I mean, it’s obvious that you guys are very passionate and really want this to happen, but continuing to push for it despite the dev’s obvious recalcitrance seems to go beyond fan entitlement and into the territory of harassment.
There are some heinous fiends on the internet. And then there are these wonderful, gorgeous folks. You might be one of those folks! What am I saying, “might”. Dude, totally meant to type “are”. Anyway, I have had the good fortune of knowing a few of these folks, some of which have even (somehow, miraculously) stuck with me for months, or even years, through misspellings and fandom nonsense, through self-doubt and… more self-doubt. Let’s be honest, there’s no opposite or complement of that when it comes to me.
I thought I might say thanks to these folk by telling other folk how cool they are! So, internet! Here are some cool folks who have tumblrs that I just wanted to thank for being neat. If we’ve interacted a before and feel left out for not being mentioned, it’s probably one of thee things 1) you don’t have a tumblr 2) I feel I haven’t known you long enough to be a creepy stalker like this OR 3) I’m too intimidated with how cool you are to say anything.
So, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, here are cool people you should maybe check out!
Engelen is probably the person I’ve had consistent contact for the longest of all of the people I’ve know on the internet. She’s remarkably resolute and firm in her convictions, and although she has her moments of doubt her experiences have shaped her into a person with a strong identity and the opinions to match. She might not be feeling like it right now, but I know she’s done a lot of impressive stuff in the past and she’s going to do even more in the future.
VisibleSpectre is one of those folks that makes you believe in people. He’s one of the rare few that always seeks to understand before he seeks to inflame or accuse. Nearest I can figure is he must be hiding a terrible secret because it almost seems impossible how rational and intelligent the dude is. Supplemental information: his housemate(s?) seem cool, too, and his cat is fucking huge. You should see that thing.
Now I mean this in the nicest possible way but Jesse and Jade, are one of those dynamic duos that sometimes melts into the same person in my mind. I know a few of these pairs on the internet; two people who kind of form a voltron in my mind (such as Anniezard, Annieard, and Narwhallo, or Amei and Wred or perhaps Bunny and Clyde), but the Jessejade robot is the one I know best. I don’t consider them as a unit because they’re exactly alike—although both of them are wonderful artists and good people—and not because they exist in perfect harmony (unless you count Jade’s perfect fist harmonizing with Jade’s face, and vice versa). It’s because they seem to have such a strong, playfully adversarial friendship that it’s hard to imagine them apart—even if they’re not together in person. Anyway, friendship, as you all know, is magic. …Hark, a brace of mages!
Saba, you quiet bastard, I AM GOING TO TELL THE INTERNET WHY IT SHOULD LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE GOING TO LIKE IT. Saba is like one of those kittens. You know the type, I’m talking about the kind of kittens who is actually super talented and delightful to talk with, but who is shy around people and vacuum cleaners and has a tendency to hide all the wonderful things it can do with yarn. Actually, forget that simile because it makes no damn sense at all. Point is, I feel pretty lucky whenever Saba lets people see what she’s got cooking, because it’s always as delightful as she. Once she drew a picture of Ico and Yorda and some Krogans on a bike. It was awesome.
Homofactory (née Ansemaru or Ramen), is a factory made of homos. That’s just neat. But seriously now folks, I’m really impressed and more than a little envious of him because even through adversity, he does not accept any definition of what he is as truth, besides the one he writes himself. Also I super appreciate his sealife posts because you people do not understand how cool sealife is. But he does.
I don’t know what to make of Delicious because he is always making fun of me but I felt I might as well mention him here anyway.
27?, biologically female but fuck preconceived notions of gender roles, I get the gist you probably are asexual or sapiosexual/whatever that word is meaning you're attracted to someone's intelligence over their actual sex or gender, white, art school graduate because I remember you made LJ posts about doing printmaking, favorite tv shows are A:TLA, I actually don't have any idea what your favorite book(s) are but you are illustrating scenes from that one sometimes, which I could look
(part 2) but I think I’m being creepy enough /as it is/ (I just know there’s that reoccuring, white wall-eyed cat in a character portrait), your favorite video games are Mass Effect and Dragon Age and Persona series as well as that one PS2 game (I think it’s called Okage? It’s got that one… shadow guy.) Aaaaand I have no idea what your favorite foods are. For some reason I imagine you drinking tea and eating a lot of noodle-based dishes. Yep.
Holy moley, you pretty much got everything but the age! The book is Sabriel, and it was my favorite for a good long while until it was supplanted by a sublimely bizarre trilogy about a professor’s experiences with Yaqui spirituality and the mind altering substances that involves. My current favorite book actually The Yiddish Policeman’s Union, but that would be impossible to guess since I’ve never actually talked about it. I super recommend it, though I know it has problems even though I haven’t given it a thoroughly critical read through yet. You see, this is because when I read it I’m just too busy eeeeeeing the whole way through at how tangible Chabon makes the fictional city of Sitka to pay attention.
Can’t really describe it because I’m a moron of the highest order, but it’s most likely the best ‘fantasy’ setting I’ve read about. …Though it’s not considered fantasy in the swords and sorcery way, but in the way it takes the real world and twists it into a impossible yet intimately familiar, living construction.
how did this get to be a mini-gusher about a Chabon book. And how does every post I make not turn into a mini-gusher about a Chabon book.
24, legends say you disguise yourself with various titles but would normally be cast in the female section, your artistic skill is un matched, and many have fallen to their knees to worship you. Also gay sex gay sex gay sex gay sex. And some Isabela mixed in.
Oh, you poor thing. You must be very confuzzeld! My favorite book is not Isabela Mixed In.
21, Female, straight, white, conceptual artist, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, The Hobbit, Mass Effect, blueberries--but only straight from the bush, because old nasty supermarket ones are for berry chumps.
If this were a third grade test, there would be purple ink all over it and at the bottom of the paper I would write “see me after class” on it and a little unhappy face, but then I’d have to pass you anyway at the end of the year because that’s just the way of educations.
Still, you’re doing well in P.E. and music class and that’s better than nothing.
